Mirabelle has learned to crawl forward on carpet! She isn’t doing the traditional crawling yet, she still lunges, but she can now successfully make her way towards her favorite objects- like buckets. Unfortunately, her method of crawling does not lend itself to hardwood floors, so if you put her in the kitchen she crawls backwards really fast. We think she’ll be doing the standard crawl in no time though. It’s very exciting. I am trying to make a little video of it with our camera, but I need more light to get a good shot, so hopefully we’ll be able to shoot video this weekend and post it for you all.
Congrats. Maya has been doing the ‘mooncrawl’ (similar to the moonwalk…but crawling and Michael Jackson isn’t involved) for a few weeks now. We anticipate a forward crawl any day now…and can’t wait.
